Styles from the 2025 Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet

On May 12th, the Grand Théâtre Lumière was the venue for the grand opening ceremony.

Cannes Film Festival has officially commenced in France, bringing with it the iconic red carpet experience. Over the next two weeks, a dazzling array of celebrities will gather to honor the 78th annual celebration of cinema in all its glory.

The much-anticipated evening featured the legendary Robert De Niro, who was presented with the honorary Palme d’Or by none other than Leonardo DiCaprio.

A host of stars graced the red carpet, showcasing their most stunning ensembles. After all, Cannes is celebrated as one of the most sophisticated and glamorous film festivals worldwide, despite some celebrities having challenged the traditional formal dress code over the years.

Despite the ban on nudity on the red carpet, citing “decency reasons.” Additionally, they prohibited oversized gowns, including long trains and exaggerated sleeves, aiming to enforce a more conservative dress code, the stars are gracing this years film festival with gorgeous designs from archival pieces to custom made outfits.

This year’s jury includes luminaries such as Halle Berry, Juliette Binoche, Jeremy Strong, and Leila Slimani, all of whom are expected to attend the various premieres and screenings throughout the festival.
