Shortly after reclaiming ownership of her beauty brand Huda beauty, Huda Kattan decided to give to the community.
Huda beauty is now fully independent with no outside investors, no one calling the shots for the brand and is fully self funded, completely private and family owned. It was posted on the brand’s instagram page that the brand has always been more than beauty. It’s about purpose, passion and making an impact.
To celebrate this independence and the recently concluded Eid Al Adha, Huda Beauty announced a generous donation of 1 million AED (approximately $272,000) to a cause chosen by their loyal fans and supporters.
In an innovative move, the brand invited its community to participate in the decision-making process by encouraging them to comment on what matters most to them.
Two days after the donation announcement and thousands of comments from supporters and fans on how the donation should go and after careful consideration, Huda Beauty decided to direct the funds to UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees), a cause that resonated deeply with many of their supporters.
The response in the comments section was overwhelmingly positive, with fans expressing their gratitude and support for the brand’s choice. Many thanked Huda Beauty for its commitment to helping those in need and for being a brand that truly listens to its community.
This generous donation not only underscores Huda Beauty’s independence but also reinforces the brand’s mission to make a positive impact in the world.
Huda Beauty’s recent actions exemplify the power of community and the importance of giving back. As the brand moves forward, it remains dedicated to its mission of making a difference, proving that beauty can indeed be a force for good.
