Nia Long has officially added her name to one of Hollywood’s most recognizable landmarks.

For Nia, the occasion was about much more than having her name placed on Hollywood Boulevard. During the ceremony, she spoke about her mother, Talita Long, her sons and the family history behind her journey into the entertainment industry.

Her latest major film role came in Michael, the Michael Jackson biopic directed by Antoine Fuqua, where she plays Katherine Jackson. The film also brought Long back into the spotlight alongside a new generation of performers, including Jaafar Jackson as Michael Jackson.
